Anglo-Sikh War Memorial, Firozshah

We love our life, ourselves and in the process we love our ancestors too. This is because we realize that whatever we are, is to a large extent because of what our ancestors were like. We take pride in knowing them and talking about them.We wish that our future generations should also know about us and our past. Memorials and Museums are built for this purpose only. But, can there be other reasons also for Museums and Memorials? We need to introspect.
In this post i would not say much, would just show a few pictures for you to analyse what we are doing as citizens of India, as bureaucrats, as politicians ... as civilized humans!?
The war memorial i am going to show is in pathetic condition of neglect, with one caretaker(sort of), a gardner and a guard, who are generally not to be found all there together. A huge memorial building for some 21 duplicate paintings, some war weapons etc..... If we really want to know our history we could have made better use of this building and could have introduced more history and regular activities for the locals and tourists too...
